The research underlying Barefoot Science and Biopods technologies has developed over more than four decades. During that period, medical professionals, sports training experts, clinicians, and biomechanics specialists reviewed concepts, tested product iterations, advised the lead researchers, and in some cases used the technologies clinically.
Peter J. Fowler, MD FRCS(C)
Dr. Fowler was a world-renowned orthopaedic surgeon, former Medical Director of the Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic, former president of major orthopaedic sports medicine societies, and chair of the Barefoot Science Medical Advisory Board. He headed Canadian medical teams at numerous Commonwealth and Olympic Games and was appointed to the Order of Canada in 2018.
